Robert Prior
Robert was educated at Rugby School and graduated from Saint David's University College [University of Wales] in 1990. He subsequently moved to Sheffield and gained a post-graduate qualification in Marketing and a CIM Diploma in Marketing in 1993. Robert became a member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing and served as the Chair of the Sheffield & South Yorkshire branch in the late 1990s.
In early 2001, Robert moved to Toronto where he worked as a global internet marketing consultant for a number of organisations including Stage-Gate & Navtel Communications before returning with his wife to Sheffield in late 2006 when he established Metrea Ltd with Jerry Lampson of QR8.
Robert is a member of the Web Analytics Association and regularly attends Web Analytics Wednesday gatherings in London to meet with other web analytics practitioners and internet marketers.
In 2008, Robert and his wife Joanne started renovations on a Victorian coach house in Broomhill, Sheffield. They finally occupied the renovated property in May 2009 - images of the construction project can be seen at http://www.25marlborough.co.uk/gallery/
Away from work, Robert enjoys watching Rugby Union and in particular attending Welsh international games at The Millennium Stadium in Cardiff. For nearly six years in Canada Robert played for the Fiery-Devils ice hockey team who won the Moss Park Arena summer league and his weekend co-ed team achieved a similar feat on more than one occasion. That love of ice hockey continues today as a fan of the Detroit Red Wings in the NHL and the Sheffield Steelers in the UK.
In any remaining spare time, Robert enjoys watching movies, Indian food [Butlers Balti] and clay pigeon shooting on the moors above High Bradfield just a few miles from Sheffield's city centre.
